Clean up

Dear All,

We really do need your help this Saturday, April 29th, for our annual “Causeway and W. 56th Street Cleanup”.  We will be meeting at the Park Office on W. 56th Street (north side of 56th, west of Dandy Trail, just on the east side of the causeway) at 9:00 a.m. and moving on from there.  Sgt. Matt Grimes will be with us to calm traffic.  Trash bags, gloves, water, coffee, and grabbers will be provided, but feel free to bring your own equipment and supplies as well.  I would like to have at least 50 people to help and together we can get the entire area done!  But we really do need you!  While our plan is working until noon, we also realize that all of you may not be able to stay for the entire 3 hours – that is fine, come out and stay as long as you are able.  Not able to make it exactly at 9 a.m.?  That, too, is fine – come when you can, you will see us, and join in.

Please see the attached flyer for more details.  Remember, while you may not live in this exact area, your help is needed and appreciated as we clean up this part of Eagle Creek Park.  If you know of any groups (businesses who would like to do something positive for the area, churches, scouts, school groups, other clubs or organizations), please pass this information on to them.  There is plenty to do, a lot of area to cover, and the more volunteers we have the quicker, better and more thorough job that can be accomplished.

Hope to see you on Saturday – and please let others know as well!

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
City-County Councillor District 6
