Jingle Books had their kick-off at the Eagle Branch Library. Mayor Ballard, along with Jackie Nytes, Director of Indianapolis Public Libraries, are pictured here. They, along with Indy Read Books, are promoting this program where people could donate books or parents could come in to select a book for their child. The idea is that every child could receive a gift book for Christmas and have a book to treasure as their very own.
Mayor Ballard read one of his favorite books, Green Eggs and Ham, to the children who were in attendance.
Councillor Janice McHenry attended the kick-off. She made a donation of 60 books to get Eagle Branch started.
