Dear All,
There is a lot going on this summer at Eagle Creek Park starting now, so hope you will take a look at the June Calendar, the information about some of the activities, and the “In Concert With Nature” folk series, as well as the “Jazz on the Point” series that begins on June 7th that are attached. There is something going on for all ages in Eagle Creek Park, from programs designed for the preschooler to adults, and many recurring programs. So take a look and see what they offer that interests you and your family, and please feel free to share this with others who may be interested, they don’t have to live in District 6 to enjoy our backyard gem!
Some highlights during June and information that my be helpful:
- Starting June 1st the gates will be locked at 9:30 p.m. So come out and enjoy our park after work, after supper, into the evening.
- June 10th is the first Sprint Triathlon, so there will be traffic restrictions until 11:00 a.m. that day.
- Dulcimer Folk Music Festival is on Saturday, June 10th and Sunday, June 11th at the Marina. Check out the information after the calendar for more details.
- Nature Play Day (which is an event occurring across Indiana) will be held on Saturday, June 17th, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Earth Discovery Center. They have some terrific things planned for the children that day.
I hope that you will be able to visit our great park often this summer. It is a terrific place to enjoy on your own or taking in some of the wonderful programs and opportunities they have to offer. Maybe I’ll see you there soon!
