Below is information about a way you can learn more about what is going on in the Indiana General Assembly this year, listen to those who represent you at the state level as well as Wayne Township School Board, and learn more about Governor Pence’s education agenda, as well as have an opportunity to ask questions/make comments about items the State will be taking up. Should make for an interesting morning and a chance to learn a lot about what is going on in Wayne Township. Hope many of you can make it. Please feel free to pass this on to not only Wayne Township residents in District 6, but anyone who lives in Wayne Township.

MSD Wayne invites residents to learn about upcoming legislative session
The 119th session of the Indiana General Assembly is about to get underway. With that in mind, the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township is inviting Wayne Township residents to attend the first annual MSD of Wayne Third House Legislative Session.
The Third House in Wayne is designed to help residents get up-close and personal with local politicians. Superintendent Jeff Butts has invited Senators Mike Delph and Mike Young, along with Representatives Robert Behning, Karlee Macer, and Justin Moed.
This event will be held in the little theater at Ben Davis High School on Saturday, January 24, from 9-11 a.m. (Please enter through Door 2). The session will include a presentation on how Governor Pence’s education agenda will impact our schools, audience questions and comments, local state legislators’ views on the issues being considered in the upcoming session of the Indiana General Assembly, and comments from MSD Wayne Board of Education members.
“This forum will provide the kind of dialogue necessary for us to continue to work for great schools and a great community,” said Superintendent Butts. “We hope to see many of our residents at Ben Davis High School on January 24.”
