Crime report June

Since many of us are spending more time outside either working in our yards, grilling, enjoying relaxing on decks or patios, walking around our neighborhoods, etc., we also have an opportunity to be observant.  If you see or hear something that does not seem right to you – call 911.  You know your neighborhood and surroundings.  You know who should be in an area and who may not be in an area for the right reasons.  If something seems suspicious call 911.  This may prevent a crime from happening or help catch those who are doing something they shouldn’t.

I have attached the National Night Out Against Crime registration form.  While I sent this out earlier, I wanted to send it again.  Even though they have today as the deadline for receiving it, I am sure they will still take registrations after today and would be glad to have more neighborhoods or blocks participating.  While it is not until August 7th, that will get here before we know it and IMPD does like to plan accordingly so their officers can get out to as many of these as possible.  Hope many neighborhoods do participate, as these are always fun and another way to not only get to know your neighbors better, but also get to know some of our Northwest District IMPD officers.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
City-County Councillor District 6
