The October Task Force Meeting will be on Wednesday, October 3rd, at the Northwest District Headquarters (3821 Industrial Blvd.) from 6 – 7 p.m. This month the speaker will be Vanessa Hinshaw from the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services (the old Code Enforcement). This is a terrific chance to find out more about what can and cannot be done about problems in your neighborhood. Since I get a lot of concerns and questions that are referred to Business and Neighborhood Services I figured there would be a lot of interest in this meeting, so I am getting the date out early. The attached flyer has more information.
Unfortunately winter and cold weather will be here before we know it. IMPD is helping to collect coats through October 5th for children and adults so that they can be warm when needed. Our Northwest District will have a box that new and gently used coats can be placed at their headquarters. There is more information about this coat drive as well as other drop off locations attached.
