Dear All,
It is almost time for my next quarterly Town Hall Meeting. It will be on Saturday, October 6th, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Community Center located 2950 N. High School Road. Since the Council is in budget season and will be voting on the 2019 budget the middle of October, I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to have as our guest speaker the City Controller, Fady Qaddoura. I know that most of you do not have the chance to attend the Committee Meetings or Council Meetings, so this brings a lot of information to a location in our district. This allows you to learn more about where your tax money goes and what tax money the City actually receives.
This will be Controller Qaddoura’s second year as guest speaker for a Town Hall Meeting for us. He really enjoyed last year and is looking forward to presenting next year’s budget and answering your questions. I have heard only positive remarks from those of you who were in attendance last year as well. This should be a very informative Town Hall Meeting.
Please feel free to forward this information on to others in our District who may not be receiving this information or who may not get a card delivered to their home. Currently about 5,000 cards have been distributed throughout the district – however there are a lot of neighborhoods still to do. If you would like to help me in passing out cards for your neighborhood (or another neighborhood), please let me know. I would welcome the help and it is great exercise!

City Controller Fady Qaddoura will speak about the 2019 Budget and what it will mean for our City. This is your chance to listen, learn, and ask questions about next year’s budget before it is voted on.
