June at the three Indianapolis Public Libraries that are closest to our district – Eagle, Pike, and Wayne.

Dear All,

The calendars are attached for the many special activities that are going on during June at the three Indianapolis Public Libraries that are closest to our district – Eagle, Pike, and Wayne.  Check out the dates and times for what is going on.  Each library has their own events, times and days offered, and a lot of really great things happening.

Summertime is almost here, and for the boys and girls school is out.  If you have a child or grandchild remember that the Indianapolis Public Library’s Summer Reading Program starts June 3rd and runs during the months of June and July.  This is a way for boys and girls to receive points and save them for prizes.  A terrific way to keep them reading this summer and keep reading skills sharp.  This year’s theme is “Keeping it 100” in line with the Summer Reading Program’s 100th Anniversary.  Visit a library soon and get more details.

Exciting News!  Saturday, June 1st, is the NEW Eagle Branch Grand Opening at 38th Street and Moller Road.  Doors open at 10 a.m. with the Ribbon Cutting at 10:30 a.m.  Activities will last that day until 4 p.m.  See below for more details.  Hopefully I will see you there!

Please feel free to forward this information on to other who may be interested.  They do not need to live in our district, as these libraries serve a huge area throughout Pike and Wayne Township.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry

City-County Councillor District 6
