Dear All,

Attached is the Eagle Creek Park September Calendar.  Please note that the EDC (Earth Discovery Center) and the OC (Ornithology Center) as well as the Park Office will be closed on Labor Day, September 2nd.  The park itself will be open for you to enjoy.  There is a lot going on this month and with the cooler weather what better time to come out and enjoy all the beauty in nature that Eagle Creek Park has to offer?  Starting in September the park gates will close at 8:30.  Please make note of this change.

Are you a nature photographer?  Or do you enjoy looking at photographs of nature?  The “Images of Nature Art Show” will be from September 28th – October 13th in the Exhibit Hall of the EDC.  You may view the photographs Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.  For those of you who have photographs you would like to enter, you may enter up to 3 photos for this juried show judged by the Riviera Camera Club.  Registration packets are available at the Riviera Camera Club website.  Drop off for artwork will be on September 7th and 8th.  You still have time to enter!

Hope you will be able to visit our Eagle Creek Park soon and enjoy some of what it has to offer – either on your own or taking advantage of some of the programs.  This is truly a wonderful place to enjoy.
