Indy Parks is bringing back their free Summer Concert and Movie series.

Dear All,

Indy Parks is bringing back their free Summer Concert and Movie series.  This summer they will only be using four parks for this tradition – Broad Ripple Park, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, Garfield Park, and our Eagle Creek Park for four movies and sixteen concerts.  We are lucky here on the west side, as next to Garfield Park, Eagle Creek Park has the most going on with the Nature Series and Jazz Series giving us a total of 6 performances on 6 consecutive Wednesday evenings starting July 22nd.  The other parks’ events are on Friday and Saturday evenings, so you may want to check them out, too.

Usually during the summer Indy Parks has 70 concerts and movies at nine of the parks.  This largely reduced number of events may be well attended, so I would plan ahead to arrive early as to audience size is being controlled.  Remember to use safe social distancing practices when attending these or any function.

Indy Parks is also planning on having virtual performances available soon on the Indy Parks YouTube Channel.  Currently I have seen no more information about this.  I would watch visitparks.indy.gov for more information about virtual performances or other details pertaining to our Indy Parks.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
