Dear All,
I would like to thank everyone who has been out in the community picking up trash along our roadways, bridges, in our parks, and in your neighborhoods. Unfortunately people do litter instead of disposing of trash in a proper container or taking it home with them to throw out in the trash. As much as we would all like to see that behavior changed, the trash is still out there. I appreciate those of you who are making a difference by selecting areas and cleaning them up. You really do make a difference. I would like to share two pictures I have received recently from some of our dedicated community members who have been busy. One comes from a man who has been diligently working on the causeway on W. 56th Street on a regular basis and the other from a couple who have been doing two of bridges over I – 465.
While it may be a little more difficult seeing the trash with the leaves that are on the ground, what better time to work outdoors with the fall weather and all the changing colors. I hope that those of you who have been picking up trash will continue to do so and that many more who are reading this will join in and select an area to help keep it clean. Thanks again to all who have been helping to keep our area clean.
