“Spring Forward”

Dear All,

You know that spring really will be here soon when it is time to “Spring Forward” with your clocks.  Tonight is the night (Saturday, March 10th) that we need to set our clocks forward one hour before going to bed.  Wanted to remind everyone not only of that, but just as important, while you are setting your clocks ahead please check your smoke detectors and fire alarms.  Make sure if you still have the old style that your batteries are good.

Wayne Township residents who are in need of a fire alarm can get one either at the Wayne Township Fire Department Headquarters located at 700 N. High School Road or the Wayne Township Government Center located at 5401 W. Washington Street.  The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  These alarms have the 10 year life battery in them.  If you or someone you know needs an alarm this is one way you may get one.  A working alarm can save lives.

So, “Spring Forward”  clocks tonight and also check your smoke detectors/fire alarms!  Let’s hope that spring really is just around the corner!

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
City-County Councillor District 6
