Did you have a live Christmas tree this year?

Dear All,

Did you have a live Christmas tree this year?  Wondering what to do with it when you take it down?  Nine of our Indy Parks have the solution for you!  Starting this week certain Indy Parks will be drop off locations for your discarded Christmas trees, including one in our district (Gustafson) and two very close to many of you (Krannert and Northwestway).  You may take your tree to one of the participating parks now through January 31st from dawn to dusk.  Please remember that all trees need to be free from lights, ornaments, tinsel, tree stands, and other decorations.

These trees will be recycled for landscaping resources such as mulch and soil blends.  This program is not for commercial use and is for Marion County residents only.

Please see below for more information about the participating parks and their addresses.  Feel free to forward this information on to others who may be interested, not only in our district, but throughout Marion County.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry

City-County Councillor District 6
