With most of Indy Parks Pools closing next weekend (a couple are open until Aug. 7th), not having evening hours, or not being open 7 days a week, and the heat we are experiencing, I thought I would share with you another way to cool off until Labor Day – Indy Parks Spray Grounds. These are located throughout the county and are open from dawn until dusk everyday through Labor Day. I have attached their locations as well as guidelines. The boys and girls that I have watched enjoying these spray grounds certainly seem to be having a lot of fun! Most spay grounds are relatively new and they are all a little different. If you have children or grandchildren and are looking for a way to keep them entertained and they enjoy water, check out a couple.
Just a reminder – Thatcher and Krannert do have indoor pools that will be open after the outdoor pools close. Check out “Indy Parks Pools Schedule” on the web site.

P.S. Just a reminder as to why the pools are closing, is that the schools are all starting and not only will all the children who use the pools be back in school, but also the lifeguards are in school. Unfortunately, schools go back in the hottest part of the summer when these pools would be well used.
