Dear All,
There is a lot to see and do any time of the year in Indianapolis and the surrounding areas, but Christmas time is a special, magical time of the year. Below is a link I was sent that has information about 15 things to do for under $15 (some are even free!). Please check them out. With children and grandchildren out of school soon for the break, friends and relatives visiting, or just for us adults to do – there are some terrific ideas. When you go to this site wait for it to load and then you will need to click on:
“Happening Downtown” across the top and then “Hot Happenings”.
Next on the “Hot Happenings” page click “Read More” under the “15 events under $15 for your holiday break” section. There is also a lot of other great info under “Hot Happenings”.
By doing this you will find the ideas that will appeal to a wide variety of ages and interests. I hope this gives you ideas of some special things to do the rest of this month. So….click below:

Also, I want to remind you that the City-County Building Observatory is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., but on December 17th (Saturday) and December 18th (Sunday) it is open from 2:00 p.m. – 10 p.m. If you have never been up there – what a remarkable view of the city! But the big treat is at night when all the lights are on, you can see the Monument Circle from an entirely different and beautiful view, as well as a completely different perspective than during the day. I hope many of you will take advantage of these extended hours for this time of the year. Remember, you need to enter off of Market Street and will be going through security.
Whatever you do – I hope you have a very enjoyable Christmas/Holiday Season!
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry
City-County Councillor District 6
