Indy Parks Spray Grounds

Dear All,

It is getting to be that time of year – when there are Concerts in Indy Parks (including every Wednesday evening at Eagle Creek).  What better way to spend a summer evening than relaxing out-of-doors in one of our Indy Parks and listening to music?  What makes these even better is that the concerts are FREE (however, if you are not a member of Eagle Creek Park there is a $5 per car gate admission).  Attached is the complete Indy Parks Concert Schedule, which includes Eagle Creek Park, as well as the summer concert schedule for just Eagle Creek Park.  Look them over and see what would “sound” great to you!  Maybe I will see you at one or more concerts this summer!

Another thing that is happening is that the Indy Parks Spray Grounds are open.  The attached flyer gives locations as well as hours and guidelines.  Spray Grounds are really fun for boys and girls.  They offer an alternative to swimming pools, but still a way to enjoy water and cool off outside on a hot day.  These are located throughout the County and are not all alike.  What else?  They are free as well!  So when you want to do something with children that is fun, outside, and with water – head to one of the various Spray Grounds and let them enjoy!

Please feel free to pass this information on to others.  Remember, this is not just for our District and area, so let others know about some of the terrific things going on this summer at our Indy Parks.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
City-County Councillor District 6
