Dear All,
Last week the Rules and Public Policy Committee heard a presentation by Dr. Virginia Cain and the Marion County Public Health Department about a Safe Syringe Access and Support (SSAS) Program that will come before the committee again before going before the full Council. At that meeting a power point was given with a lot of information and a chance to ask questions. There will also be two public meetings at the Marion County Public Health Department located 3838 N. Rural Street in their first floor conference room. The dates for those meetings are Thursday, May 31st, and Wednesday, June 13th, at 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about what they are proposing and ask questions. Attached is what was given in the presentation about these two meetings.
Hopefully many of you will be able to attend and not only learn more but ask questions that you may have. Please feel free to pass this information on to others who may not be aware of these meetings not only in our district but throughout Marion County.
