“THANKS” to all of you who have dropped off school supplies

Dear All,

I would like to say “THANKS” to all of you who have dropped off school supplies so far at Eagle Creek Park.  It is greatly appreciated and all of these items will soon be put to good use.  If you have not donated school supplies yet, there is still time and we can really use a lot more.  While it seems that there are a lot of supplies (see picture), when dividing them among 8 schools there really isn’t as much here as it looks.  We will continue to collect supplies for the next week, through September 23rd.  Please be generous with your donations as the need is out there and you can help bring a smile to a boy or girl’s face when they have the “tools” they need to do their best work.

Donations may be made at the Eagle Creek Park Office located 7840 W. 56th Street Mon. – Fri. from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  (This is the white house on the north side of 56th Street east of the reservoir.  The box to place supplies is just inside the door.) or the Earth Discovery Center located inside the park Mon. – Fri. from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  (Boxes are just inside the door).  You do not need to go in the park to drop school supplies off at the Eagle Creek Park Office.

Due to Covid-19 we cannot accept donations at the gatehouses this year and hours at the buildings are limited; however we do hope that you will be able to stop by during the week at the times they are open in order help support this very much needed “Back to School Supply Drive” for our area schools.  Let’s make sure that students have what they need to be successful in school this year.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
