Dear All,
Attached is the September Calendar for Eagle Creek Park. As summer is winding down, birds seem to be a big part of the programs this month. There are a lot of opportunities to learn more about the different kinds of birds that can be found at the park. Later this month is the Folk Music Festival that is being organized by the Central Indiana Folk Music & Mountain Dulcimer Society. This is a full day event – from noon until 7:00 p.m. Great activities for all ages. Don’t miss the Imagines of Nature Photography Show from September 18th – October 3rd in the Earth Discovery Center (EDC). Check out the calendar for more information on these and other things that are happening this month.
Remember, the Earth Discover Center (EDC), Ornithology Center (OC), and office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6th, in observance of Labor Day. The park will still be open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. that day.
If you do not have a Park Pass for this year, and would still like to get one, after Labor Day the passes will be 1/2 price through the remainder of the year. Great opportunity if you plan to visit the park often during the fall and beginning of winter.
Hope you will visit Eagle Creek Park, one of the other Indy Parks, or some of our local parks soon and see what all there is out there. We are going to have some great weather to enjoy the out-of-doors.
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry
