It is that time of year when each day brings something different in the way of the leaves, trees, and fall color at Eagle Creek Park. If you have not been there in the last week, or driven by – it is amazing how fast the leaves are changing.
Attached is the Eagle Creek Park Calendar for October. Note that on October 22 & 23 that they are having Owl Fest at the Ornithology Center. A lot going on those two days with family fun and activities for all ages. Note that a lot of other animals are being featured on Sundays.
Hayrides are being offered again this year on Friday and Saturday evenings. What a wonderful way to spend some time on a lovely fall evening. See bottom of calendar for more details.
Don’t forget the Images of Nature Photography Show that is running through October 23rd. This is on display in the Earth Discovery Center.
Come out to the park often this month and enjoy the beauty of Autumn. There are a lot of activities going on, or just come for a drive, to hike, bike, or sit on a bench and relax. Just a reminder that the park will be open on October 10th, but the office, Earth Discovery Center (EDC), and Ornithology Center (OC) will be closed.
