Just a reminder that tonight (Saturday, November 4th)

Dear All,

Just a reminder that tonight (Saturday, November 4th) we need to “Fall Back” an hour before going to bed as Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday morning at 2 a.m.  Don’t forget to turn your clocks that don’t automatically set back an hour before going to bed.

Also, now is a great time to check your smoke detectors and make sure they are working properly.  If they need to have batteries changed or you need to have new one, take care of that as well.

Please remember that it will not only be getting dark an hour earlier starting Sunday, but we are also losing light each evening as well.  Watch for children playing outside, people walking their dogs, joggers, runners, walkers, bike riders, and especially children and adults at and around bus stops.  If you are going to be out doing any activities toward dusk, dawn, when it is dark, or even on cloudy days, make sure you have on light colored clothing, reflective clothing, lights, etc. so you can be seen.  Be attentive to your surroundings as well.  Make sure children are dressed accordingly.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
