Eagle Creek Summer Camps

Dear All,

Really, I am not trying to rush through January, but am sending this out early because registration for Eagle Creek Park Summer Day Camps starts on Monday and I wanted to get that info out as I know these camps fill up fast. I also thought I’d sent the February Calendar for the park at the same time.

If you have any children/youth or grandchildren from ages 4 – 15, Eagle Creek Park Summer Day Camps is a terrific opportunity for them to learn about various aspects of nature during the summer.  For the younger campers there are four different weeks and programs offered.  For the older youth there are two different exciting weeks of camps.  What a wonderful way to give children a learning experience that they will not forget during summer vacation!  Remember, these do tend to fill up fast and registration does start on Monday, January 23rd.

Looking over the calendar for February there are many Recurring Programs and activities for all ages.  It seems that this has a theme relating to Birds.  Let’s not forget that February 2 is Ground Hog Day – and we will see what the woodchuck predicts on that day when winter will end.  Winter can be a great time to visit our park, and even if you do not take in some of the activities they have for you to participate and learn, there is still plenty to see, do, and enjoy.

Just a couple of reminders.  The gates are now open at 7 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.  This will continue to expand as our days get longer and we have more daylight.  If you have not purchased you 2017 Park Passes you may do so at either the gates or the Eagle Creek Park Office on west 56th Street.  Also, you may purchase the Park Foundation Passes (which helps support Eagle Creek Park) by going to www.EagleCreekPark.org.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
