Dear All,
Our Northwest District IMPD has two events coming up that I hope many of you will be able to attend. A great chance to meet some of those who protect us, talk with them, and learn something, as well as show support for our men and women of the Northwest District IMPD.
The first one is “Coffee With A Cop” on Tuesday, February 28th, from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the McDonalds located 4545 W. 38th Street (just west of Lafayette Road on the south side of 38th Street). This is a great time to talk casually with some of our Northwest District IMPD Police Officers, get to know them, and also talk with Commander Michael Jefferson. For those of you who can attend a morning event, it is a great opportunity to have “Coffee and Conversation” with some of those who work hard to keep us all safe each and every day.
The second is “IMPD Northwest District Task Force Meeting” on Wednesday, March 1st, from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at The Blended Church located 2215 Country Club Road (just north of 21st Street on the east side of Country Club Road). This a for those of you who evening events work well for, but is also different than “Coffee With a Cop” as there is a speaker. This month it is going to be about Animal Care Services and Office Jason Kindig will talk about and take questions regarding animal ordinances. Should be a great opportunity to learn more about animals in Marion County as well as meet some of our officers.
More information about these events are on the attached flyers. I do hope that many of you can make one or both of these meetings. I especially hope that we give the officers a terrific turn out for their Task Force Meeting since it is being held in OUR District 6! Let’s give them a warm welcome to both of these, and show the Northwest District IMPD how our area cares about them and the safety of our neighborhoods. Please pass this information on to your friends, neighbors, and others who may be interested. Hope to see many of you then!
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry
City-County Councillor District 6
