Dear All,
The West Side Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to hold our 3rd Annual Job Fair at the Pike Freshman Center on June 14th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. As a member of the committee working on this for the past three years, I want to say it really is a wonderful opportunity for both employers and employees – great companies offering a variety of jobs with different skill levels as well as terrific attendance by those seeking a job or different type of job.
If you are a company who has ten or more job openings and think this would be a great way to find potential new applicants from the west side, let me know and I’ll get you the information to sign up. We still have about a dozen openings, but we are capping it at 70 employers. We are also looking for a few sponsors, so if you would be interested in being a sponsor and getting your company’s name out there, let me know that as well, as I can get you an application for that too. If you are looking for a job or a different/new job – our Job Fair may be just the answer. We are planning on having 70 companies who have at least 10 jobs they are wanting to fill at our job fair. There is a partial listing of the employers who have already signed up on the flyer. As the Job Fair gets closer, I will send out an updated flyer with more listings. Please see the Employee flyer for more information about this Job Fair.
Lastly, if you are working with either youth or adults who are seeking employment, or if you know of anyone (friends, neighbors, relatives, church members, etc.) who is looking for a job – please pass this information on to them. You may also print off the flyer and post it or hand it out. This would be fantastic help for us to get more applicants attending, and also be a great opportunity for those you share this with.
