Hurricane Harvey

Dear All,

Hurricane Harvey has left destruction in Houston that is hard to even imagine and something that we hope that none of us will ever experience anything similar to it.  People are left with nothing, and now having to go back to their homes and try to clean up.  There are several ways that we can help and below are flyers for a couple of them.

The first tells about drop off sites that will be available Thursday through Saturday from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. and the items they are collecting.  The one that is closest to us is the Kroger in the Speedway Shopping Center located 5718 Crawfordsville Road.

The second one is from our Wayne Township Fire Department and Trustee’s Office.  They are collecting items from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. this week at the Wayne Township Fire Department Headquarters located at 700 N. High School Road.  They have a list of items that they are collecting.

Also, the Indianapolis Fire Departments are collecting bottled water, packaged snacks, juice in non-glass containers, baby wipes, and diapers from Thursday, September 7th, through Saturday, September 9th, at all IFD Fire Stations.  The one closest to us is Station 33 which is located 3430 Moller Road.

Please do consider donating some items to help those who have lost everything and are in the process of trying to put their lives back together.  Also, forward this to others who may not be on my email list and even those who don’t live in our district.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
City-County Councillor District 6
