Dear All,
I know it is only the beginning of November, but preparation for the Circle of Lights has been underway. The deadline for children to submit their creations for the Carson’s Coloring Contest is Monday, November 13th. Below is information about the contest and links for more information and the coloring page itself. The coloring page was also in yesterday’s Indianapolis Star and will be in Sunday’s newspaper as well. Wouldn’t it be great if a boy or girl from our area won this contest and got to “Flip the Switch”?
A huge thanks goes out to IBEW #481 for making this possible. Certainly appreciate all the volunteer work that they do in order to bring this tradition to us each year. Please read more about this by clicking “Carson’s Coloring Contest” below.
This 55 year old tradition will be held on Friday, November 24th, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. If you cannot make it downtown to see it in person, WTHR – 13 will cover it live from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. The Circle will remain lit throughout December, so you will have plenty of time to enjoy it if you don’t make it down for the Circle of Lights actual lighting celebration.
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry
