Special Resolution for Andy Harris

In December Councillors Janice McHenry and Marilyn Pfisterer did a Special Resolution for Andy Harris, who was Indiana’s 2017 Trustee of the Year.  This great honor was achieved out of 1,005 Township Trustees throughout our State.  Trustee Harris has done a lot in Wayne Township and is a true community leader.  He has worked tirelessly with Victims Assistance, volunteers for many neighborhood projects including food banks, and is always striving to make Wayne Township a better place to live, work, and enjoy.  At the same meeting Andy Harris and part of his team were also recognized by the West Side Councillors for the involvement and dedication with the organization and putting on “Breakfast with Santa” that the Trustee’s Office and Wayne Township Fire Department have been continuing.  Congratulations Trustee Andy Harris for your commitment to Wayne Township.

Councillor McHenry, along with some of her friends, collect various toiletry items throughout the year.  In December these items were divided into decorated bags and given to the Wayne Township Trustee’s Office.  The Trustee’s Office is then able to give these bags to people who come to their office who would benefit from having these items to use and also to their Victims Assistance Program.  Councillor McHenry is boxing up the bags.

Bags for – This year there were 60 bags donated to the Trustee’s Office to be distributed.  Councillor McHenry would like to thank her friends and a big “Thanks” goes out to Brownsburg Gentle Dentist for their donation of toothbrushes and toothpaste for all the bags.  Everything was very much appreciated.
