Dear All,
Attached is the March calendar for Eagle Creek Park. There is quite the variety of activities for all ages, so check out the calendar and the information provided. Please note that the park office, Earth Discovery Center, and Ornithology Center will be closed on Friday, March 30th, in observance of Good Friday. The park grounds will still be open from dusk to dawn.
Do pay particular attention the annual Woodcarvers Show this weekend, March 3rd & 4th, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Earth Discovery Center. You will be able to watch as master woodworkers demonstrate their excellent skill and craftsmanship. The craftsmen will have a wide variety of items they have made for sale as well. Want to test your own carving skills? Children may do so at the soap carving station. This family friendly event is free with your park admission.
The Polar Plunge will be happening Saturday, March 3rd, as well. This will be from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the beach area. Those participating will be “diving in” at three different times to help support the more than 13,000 Special Olympic Indiana athletes. The park anticipates up to 2,000 “taking the plunge” with the support of IMPD and IFD Dive Teams. Read more under March Programs.
Check out what else is happening during March at our Eagle Creek Park. There is plenty to do for all!
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry
