The Clermont Lions Club is having their annual Children’s Christmas Party this Saturday, December 15th, at the Lions Club Community Building, 3201 Tansel Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and Santa will arrive by fire truck at 7:00 p.m. The Clermont Lions Club always have terrific parties for the boys and girls and this one will be no exception. Bring your children or grandchildren out to see Santa and have a great time. I have attached a flyer from the Clermont Lions Club. Feel free to share this with others. Hope to see many of you there!
I wanted to share with you wonderful news about the Circle of Lights Coloring Contest Winner. While I have always hoped that someone from our district would be a winner, this year we have a connection – as the winner’s grandparents live in our district. Grandmother had sent the coloring contest entry to her granddaughter. Her granddaughter then worked hard on the entry, entered the contest, and won! Many of you may have watched the Circle of Lights Tree Lighting on TV. If so, you saw her “flip the switch”. What an honor for this young lady and she has some very proud grandparents and parents as well. Her grandmother shared the attached picture of a very happy granddaughter with her proud mom, as well as the picture of her winning entry. Congratulations to the winner! Thanks to everyone who did enter the contest and worked hard on their creations. Hopefully next year we can have another connection to District 6 have the honor of “flipping the switch”!
