Dear All,
While it may still be winter outside – the weather up until yesterday has not been bad. Unfortunately trash still is being thrown out of vehicles and the wind lately has certainly blown things around. While I know that many of you have been regularly keeping your special areas picked up, there are other areas that need that TLC that a group can provide. We are planning our first Clean-up of 2019 on Saturday, January 19th. The weather forecast had looked very good for that day – with a high of 40 degrees. That has changed, but I am hoping it changes back! If the weather does not co-operate, we will re-schedule for Saturday, January 26th. Please see below for more details. We really could use your help! Again, I would like to encourage everyone to select an area and when you are out walking or the weather is nice and you want to be outside to take a grocery bag (or larger) and fill it up with trash. If everyone did that we would soon find it becoming harder and harder to fill those bags in our district. What a difference we can all make!
Hope to see many of you January 19th!
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry
City-County Councillor District 6
P.S. Attached is a picture of a few of us who cleaned up an area late last year.
