A wonderful group of volunteers recently gathered at the Eagle Creek Park Office to clean up the causeway and west to Raceway Road.
Thanks goes to Bee Coffee on Lafayette Road just south of 56th Street for providing coffee for the volunteers as they signed in and picked up supplies.
Some volunteers picked up along the causeway,
while others picked up west of the causeway.
With the help of two officers from IMPD Northwest District who gave up their Saturday morning to help calm traffic and keep other volunteers safe, a great deal of trash was picked up.
Eagle Creek Park Manager Brittany Davis and City-County Councillor Janice McHenry would like to thank everyone who volunteered to make such a terrific difference in the way the area looks.
