My next Town Hall Meeting will be on Monday, October 7th. It will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Community Center located at 2950 N. High School Road (building in the back) from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. City Controller Fady Qaddorura will be talking about the 2020 Budget for Marion County. Controller Qaddorura has joined us the past two years for my annual Budget Presentation Town Hall Meeting and is looking forward to coming back again this year. He really has enjoyed having this opportunity to talk to us about the budget, where exactly the city’s money comes from, and how it is divided up between the different departments. He also likes being able to answer questions that you may have and has been impressed with the audiences we have had in the past. Let’s give him a warm District 6 welcome again this year and have a great turnout for this Town Hall Meeting.
As many of you already know, I (along with some terrific volunteers) have been passing out cards in the district for this meeting along with a campaign card for me and my upcoming election on November 5th. There is still a lot of the district that needs to be done the next couple of weeks before the Town Hall Meeting. I know many of you enjoy walking or being outside. If you would like to help walk an area passing out these cards, please let me know. If your neighborhood has not been done it would be a great chance to help me get that accomplished. Or, I would love to have you join me in doing another neighborhood in the district if yours has been walked. You may reply to this email if you would like to help.
