Dear All,
Have you been to the “Celebration of Nature” Art Show at the Earth Discovery Center (EDC) in Eagle Creek Park? It ends on Sunday. There is some really great artwork. This year I entered three of my mother’s watercolors in her honor. The hummingbird, the three baby rabbits, and the owl in the picture are hers. Check out the show as well as the beauty of the park with the snow before both are gone.
Just a reminder that we are collecting hats, gloves, mittens, and socks at the park for area schools to distribute to children in need of these articles this winter. You may drop off these items in the box at the EDC as well as both the 56th and 71st gatehouses. You do not have to enter the park to drop hats, gloves, mittens or socks at the gatehouses. Please be generous in donating these items so we can help as many children keep warm as possible.
So take some time this weekend to visit the park, check out the art show, and pick up some items to donate to our “Winter Hats, Gloves, Mittens, and Socks Drive”. Maybe I will see you out there!
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry
