Eagle Creek Park Manager Brittany Davis and Janice McHenry would like to thank everyone who donated hats, gloves, mittens, socks, and scarfs to our Winter Drive. While these items may not be needed right now – our weather is bound to change and children will be needing these items when they wait on the bus or play outside.
Items needed to be grouped and sorted before they were bagged up and delivered to eight different schools in the area.
Principal Jay Bedwell’s school in Speedway was one of the schools that received items. Mr. Bedwell taught school with Mrs. McHenry for several years at Mill Creek East Elementary
before he became a principal.
Robey Elementary School in Clermont was another school that the donations were given. All of the schools were very appreciative of the generosity that was shown. They said how everything was needed and would be used. Thanks again to everyone who contributed to our “Winter Hats, Gloves, Mittens, and Socks Drive”.
