Northwest District IMPD is offering C.R.A.S.E.

Dear All,

Our Northwest District IMPD is offering C.R.A.S.E. (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) on three different dates and six different times this year at their headquarters.  This is a very informative and worthwhile class which is built on the principals of Avoid, Deny, and Defend (ADD) strategy that was developed in 2004.  The first date is on Tuesday, March 10th, at 11:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.  This is a terrific course for individuals and for businesses, as an active shooter situation can happen anywhere, and the more you know on how to react, the better off you and others around you may be.

Many of you may have been at one of these programs before, as I helped organize several for Town Hall Meetings and other groups.  I have seen this program quite a few times and have always walked away with knowing more and having a better understanding of what to do if ever in one of these horrible situations.  Hopefully many of you will be able to take advantage of attending one that is currently planned.  For more information or to RSVP, contact Kim Taylor at Kim.Taylor@Indy.gov or 317-327-6572.  Check out the attached flyer for more information and details.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
