Dear All,
Just a reminder that tomorrow (Saturday, Jan. 23nd) is the Electronics Recycling Special Event from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Krannert Park, 605 S. High School Road. This is an excellent opportunity to get rid of those unwanted electric items. There will be staff on-site to direct traffic. You need to remain in your vehicle and wear a mask when interacting with staff members.
This is being brought to the area by the Indianapolis Office of Sustainability and the local non-profit RecycleForce, which reduces crime through re-entry employment and job training opportunities while improving the environment through electronics recycling. The Office of Sustainability says that as a general rule of thumb they will accept anything with a cord attached plus items such as cell phones, circuit boards, external disk drives, gaming accessories, hard drives, tablets, etc.
Please feel free to forward this information on to others who may be interested in recycling electronics they no longer need, can use, or are broken.
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry
