“Indiana State Nature Passport”—enjoy outdoors in Indiana

Dear All,

There is a lot to discover and enjoy outdoors in Indiana. Below is information about a new “Indiana State Nature Passport” in which you may visit up to 60 locations from the Dunes on Lake Michigan to the Falls on the Ohio and everywhere in between. One of the sites, Fort Harrison State Park, is right here on the northeast side of Marion County. Even if you do not want to sign up and participate in the passport program, there are lots of ideas for those who want to enjoy activities close to nature. This will give you many ideas of places to go to boat, fish, hike, mountain bike, horseback ride, swim, and more. Want to make a long weekend or overnight of your adventures? There are many State Parks Inns you may stay at and even more places that you may camp. Want to learn more about the history of our state? You can do that, too, and much more.

So take some time to read more about this program and check out the variety of great places around our State to discover.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
