From time to time I have been asked if I knew where to take paper that needed shredding beyond what our home shredders can handle or electronics that need recycled. On Saturday, April 17th, there is a Community Shred-it Day throughout the Marion County Area hosted by various Police and Sheriff’s Departments as well as other partners. This will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at five different locations, including the one closest to those of us who live in Pike and Wayne Township at the Speedway Police Department located 1410 N. Lynhurst Drive. This is a great opportunity to have a boxed papers shredded, recycle electronics, and also get rid of outdated and no longer needed prescriptions. Please note that they do ask for a $5 donation for each shredding box and a $20 fee for TVs and Computer Monitors. For more information please see the flyer.
