Volunteers worked diligently to gather the trash and debris that thoughtless people have thrown out from their vehicles.

Recently a group of volunteers got together to pick up the trash along 56th Street west of the Causeway to Raceway Road on the north side of the street.  This group included two IMPD Northwest District Officers who helped with controlling traffic as the volunteers worked.  Everyone met at the Bear Overlook and while getting supplies before starting out many of the group had their picture taken.

Many bags were filled and placed in piles along 56th Street to be picked up later by DPW.

While the terrain along there is not the best, volunteers worked diligently to gather the trash and debris that thoughtless people have thrown out from their vehicles.
