Please note the restriction on I – 74 today, but more importantly it gives information about the opening of Raceway Road. I know that several of you have asked recently about this, so here is the latest information from INDOT, which is doing this project since it is a bridge over the interstate. I know that those of you who live off of Raceway Road or who normally use Raceway Road to get places will be glad to see this reopened.

Bridge Deck Overlay Project will Restrict I-74 to one lane Tomorrow
Project is nearing completion
HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announce a bridge deck overlay project on Raceway Road over I-74 will restrict interstate traffic to one lane under the bridge Saturday, November 22 for the contractor to perform work overhead. The project is nearing completion. Originally scheduled to reopen today Raceway Road (County Line Road) is now anticipated to open Tuesday, November 25.
The project was awarded to Schutt-Lookabill Co., Inc. for $511,666. The detour follows Raceway Road north to County Road 600 North and then west to Ronald Reagan Parkway and then south to U.S. 136 east and back to Raceway Road. Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will use the same detour in reverse.
