Dear All,
As you observe Memorial Day today, maybe with picnics, cookouts, or time with family and friends, please take time to remember why we observe this holiday – to honor the memory of all the service men and women who have died protecting our nation and defending our liberty. These are the true heroes in our nation, the ones who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Take a few moments to think about how fortunate we are to have had these brave individuals protect us and our nation.
Also, to all the veterans, active service men and women, and their families – thank you for your service to our great country!
I have attached the lyrics to two of my favorite patriotic songs (poems). I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. They were written long ago, have survived the test of time, and have so much meaning and beauty.
