Clean-up

Dear All,

First of all I want to thank all of those who have participated in various “Great Indy Cleanup” events the last few weeks!  It is greatly appreciated and what a difference it makes.  I also want to thank again those of you who help on a regular basis in various areas around the district as either a group or as an individual.  If we could get everyone to take a plastic bag with them when they go out for a walk, run, walking the dog, etc. and fill it with trash, what a remarkable improvement we would see throughout the area.

This weekend is our annual “56th Street Causeway and west” cleanup.  We will be meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 28th, at the Eagle Creek Park Office located 7840 W. 56th Street and working our way across the causeway to Raceway Road.  This is a long stretch and one in which needs a lot of work, as most of it is part of Eagle Creek Park.  We are hoping to top our over 50 volunteers that we had several years ago.  If you could give some time on Saturday morning and help make a difference in this area, it would be greatly appreciated.  We will be working until noon, so any time that you can give during those 3 hours would help give this stretch of 56th Street the TLC that it needs.

Attached is the flyer for our Saturday Cleanup.  Please feel free to forward, print, post, or any other way help us get the word out.  Brittany Davis (Eagle Creek Park Manager) and I hope to see many of you there!  The weather forecast looks very good – so it should be a terrific day to get out and help improve this area.

Sincerely,

Janice McHenry
City-County Councillor District 6
