Dear All,
Our Northwest District IMPD has four more events coming up during the month of June that I wanted to make sure everyone was aware. I have attached the flyers for each, so please see them for more information than what I have below:
- “Coffee With a Cop”. This will be on Monday, June 11th, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Burger King located 2953 Lafayette Road (30th Street / Lafayette Road). If you have not met our new Commander, Lorenzo Lewis, this would be the perfect time.
- “Personal Safety & Awareness Seminar”. This is being held on Tuesday, June 19th, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the International Marketplace located 3685 Commercial Dr. Please note that the International Marketplace has moved, they are now south of 38th Street off of Lafayette Road in the shopping center off Commercial Dr. This is an excellent program and is well worth your time.
- “Bike Rally”. The annual event is great family fun and helps boys and girls learn about Bike Safety as well as have a lot of fun. Being held this year on Thursday, June 21st, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at The Blended Church located 2215 Country Club Road (just north of 21st Street on the east side of Country Club Road). There is food and other activities as well.
- “Latino Community Day”. Everyone is welcome to attend the IMPD Northwest District Latino Community Day on Saturday, June 23rd, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. It is being held again this year at the Plaza Mall located 6300 W. 38th Street (northeast corner of 38th Street and High School Road – across from Home Depot). If you didn’t get a chance to attend the IMPD Community Day last month, here is a chance to attend one that is close to our area.
Hopefully I will see many of you at one or more of these events. Please do pass this information on to others who not only live in your neighborhood or our area, but throughout the Northwest District IMPD District.
