Dear All,
Starting on Monday, February 15th, branches of The Indianapolis Public Libraries will be open once again for browsing. Masks are required and need to cover both your nose and mouth and there are still limitations on number of people inside a branch at a time. Limit your visit to an hour or less and no food or drink is allowed. You may want to check before going to make sure the branch you plan on visiting is open, as due to cleaning or staffing concerns it may not be open. See the information about our libraries services below.
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry

We are excited to welcome patrons back into our libraries for browsing on Monday, February 15. Available services will be similar to how they were this past fall, before we switched to “curbside & computers only.” Here is what you need to know:
Patrons are expected to adhere to safety guidelines:
- Avoiding libraries if feeling unwell or displaying Covid-19 symptoms
- Wearing of a face covering over nose and mouth
- Social distancing of six feet when possible
- Limiting visits to one hour if building is at or near capacity
We will be limiting the number of patrons inside our libraries, and curbside pickup will remain available at all locations during open hours.
Because of its unique size and floor plan, Central Library will be operating with more strict enforcement of the one-hour time limit using a badging system as patrons enter.
