The 48th Annual Fire, Police, & Deputy Sheriff’s Community Recognition Luncheon was recently held. This awards ceremony honors those who risk their lives to save others. Many of the Councillors attended this year to show their support for the men and women who not only received the awards, but were also nominated. The State of the City Address was given by Mayor Joe Hogsett on May 11th at the Christamore House. After the speech Jared Evans, Jeff Miller, and Janice McHenry, three of the City-County Councillors in attendance, had their picture taken.
