Dear All,
Recently a group of area residents got together and made a huge difference in areas along Reed Road and 56th Street by Eagle Creek Park. Some of the members of the group are pictured here after we finished with the bags that were filled. As you can see, there was a lot of trash collected.
While the weather has been too wet lately to do anything, I would like to encourage everyone on dry, warm days to help make a difference for our area. You don’t have to fill a big bag, but how about going out and at least filling a grocery bag or two? This can be around your neighborhood, by the entrance to your neighborhood, along a road that your neighborhood is across from or backs up to, in and around one of our parks, on a bridge, or by an intersection. There are lots of places that need a little (or a lot) of TLC. If we would all do something what a huge difference we would make on our side of town – and a great example for others.
I will be watching the weather and plan another group cleanup sometime soon. In the meantime, if everyone could take some time and pick up in an area you choose what a difference we can all make!
Sincerely,
Janice McHenry
